Wednesday Woes, Mystery Host, & Some SERIOUS Motivation

It’s Wednesday!

Usually that means being excited because it’s a downhill slide from here! Especially this week since it is a short week.

But for some reason this week it’s not that great of a day.  I am not sure why but I woke up in a funk and haven’t been able to shake it yet.

I feel fine physically but mentally it’s just not there L

I get like this usually once a week and last week it happened to be Wednesday too.

I hate this feeling, I just wake up and have zero motivation all I want to do is go back to bed I am grumpy. Just not a very pleasant person to be around despite all the great things happening.

·        I mean I am working my but off at the gym and eating better (minus the dinner we had last night cause we were lazy and didn’t lay anything out), even one of the personal trainers stopped me and told me she saw how hard I was working out which made me feel good.  Although it could have been a scam trying to get me to pay for her services but oh well.

·        I got my contract yesterday, promising me a job next year.

·        I have a wonderful best friend and love!

·        I have clothes and food every day.

But despite all these things I still wake up weekly with a funk. I wish I could figure out why and change it.

Book Review-Texas Gothic

Title: Texas Gothic
Author: Rosemary Clement-Moore

This story is in present day Texas, one of the reasons I wanted to read it, duh! The main characters are these 2 sisters, one is a sophomore in college and one is just graduating college.  They are staying on their aunt’s family ranch for a couple weeks over the summer to look after it while she is away on vacation.  What they don’t know when they sign up for the job is how much they will become involved in while staying there.  They meet Ben McCoulluck, the neighbor, and Amy actually falls for him a little bit despite the hostility between them at the beginning of the story! Phin is on the eggcentric side and doesn’t care who sees it while Amy is desperately trying to cover up the weirdness of her sister and the rest of their family.  The story goes through and allows you to go along with the girls on different adventures and even sense some of the dangerous places they find themselves.

In my opinion the book was not bad, but not great! It took me a while to really get into and understand what was going on.  I also have a hard time believing a lot of super natural occurrences so it was hard for me to truly get into the book.  I did later find myself very eager to keep reading and finish it.  I needed to know what happened to Ben and his bridge as well as what happened between Ben and Amy.  The end of the book was a bit disappointing in my opinion but maybe she left it so there could be a sequel.

This is a good book for a young and gullible reader or for someone that is just looking for a new book to read that won’t take a long time to get through.  I don’t know that it would be on the top of my list to go out and tell my friends you HAVE to read this book.

Stay tuned for the next book review, The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene

5 for Five- March 25th Edition

Wow it’s been about 2 weeks since I last posted!! Yikes! Sorry!!!

Today is Monday which means it’s time to link up with Jenn and Jessica!!

FantasticallyAverage

5 for Five Here we go!!!

I didn’t post last week so there aren’t really goals to go back and see how I did so we’ll start with my goals this week!!!

1.      Workout @ least 5x’s

This week I don’t have a race so I need to be pushing myself and working hard in the gym.

·        days of legs

·        days of arms

·        1 INTENSE  day of abs

**Check back for workout specifics this week

2.    Cook dinner 5x’s

Today started my Herbalife system.  I think it is very equivalent to Advocare except no nasty fiber drink.  It consists of 2 meal replacement shakes, multivitamins, and a lot of water!

** Today is my weigh in check at the gym so I will update later this week as well.  Plus it will get me a reference point to see how much I loose while doing this system.**

3.    Finish PBF Book Club Book

First if you haven’t checked out PBF you must go asap because she is absolutely amazing.

Second she hosts a monthly Book Club on her blog which was one of my 30 b4 Thirty goals.

This month the book to read is The Fault in Our Stars, it was already on my list of books to read so it’s a double whammy!!

4.    Post 3-4 times this week

I have been slacking in the posting department lately.  I got lazy during spring break then I went back to work and got busy all while trying my best to change my life style to be healthy and incorporate working out on a daily basis, all on top of potty training Jay!!!  So I have been a little busy.

** But this is my week to turn that back around!**

5.    Get in bed by 10pm everynight

This one is going to bet the hardest goal yet!

I am that go, go, go, and don’t stop until it’s all done; but in reality it is NEVER all done!

I am a constant from the time I wake up in the am to the time I lay down and we all know that it is important to get those 8 hours a night of beauty rest.  I however, average about 5-6 hours nightly so by the end of the week I am dragging.

**This week I want to try and tackle that and see how great I can feel getting those regular hours of sleep!**

And there you have my goals for this week.

Hop on over to Jenn or Jessica’s page and link up to share your goals and be held accountable for them!

As for what’s coming up this week:

·        I am going to share some weight loss goals and strategies.

·        I will share my weekly workouts, including the after math of them.

·        And I will have another book review coming, Texas Gothic.

So keep checking back and have a great week!!

5 for Five

It’s Monday!!!!

And it’s the first OFFICIAL day of Spring Break

(even though I have been on Spring Break since Friday @ 3:30 pm in my mind!)

Being Monday it means it’s time for another link-up party

So I am linking-up with Jenn and Jessica for

5 for Five!

To start off let’s see how I did last week:

Green: Completed

Red: Not Completed

Orange: Attempted

1.       Stay on top of the house chores.

2.     Study @ least 30 mins a night for my ESL certification test.

3.      Cook 4-5 times this week.

4.       Workout/run 4-5 times this week.

5.      Think positive.

Soooooo not the greatest but not terrible either!

I’ll try harder this week on Spring Break!

This week’s goals:

1.       Study @ least 1 hr/day until my test (Thursday)!

Can you tell how badly I need and want to get this test passed and over with???

2.     Wake up @ a decent time.

One of my pet peeves is wasting the day.  I always feel like I have stuff I should be or could be doing.  So being on Spring Break this week, I DO want to sleep in, but I DON’T want to sleep it away.  I want to be able to be productive.

3.      Run 4-5 days.

This was a goal I didn’t complete last week but I really need to do this week plus I will have the time to do it this week so I SHOULDN’T have any excuse not to complete it!

4.       Deep clean the apartment.

I seem to neglect things like dusting and mopping, cleaning paper clutter and vacuuming on a regular basis because let’s face it, I run out of time to keep up with the easy things like dishes and laundry plus those things SUCK.  But since I am on Spring Break I will have a chance to do all those things I never get to making my apartment SPRING CLEAN!!!!

5.      Catch up on Teen Mom 2 so I can delete it off my DVR.

This seems dumb to have as a goal but when you have an entire season of a show just sitting on your DVR taking up space it needs to be done.  Or maybe I’ll sit down and get annoyed with it enough just to delete it without watching it all well see!

And there you have it my 5 for Five!!

Make sure you make yourself some goals and link up so that you can be held accountable for them from your readers!

Have an awesome Monday!
